Children’s Church Teachers
Ages: 7-11 years old
Cynthia Sandoval, Monique Garcia and Lory Thompson
Cynthia Sandoval has been teaching children’s church since 2004 training for 1 year under Roy and Darlene Jaquez. Serving also on the ‘Praise Team’ for 5 years and serving in other areas also.
Monique Garcia has been teaching for 3 years now. She also ministers during service on Wednesday evenings. She helps with ‘the writing on the wall’ projecting the Word of God via computer for our Pastor. She has helped with the children at the “Camp Native America” in Window Rock AZ. She is a great help in our classroom.
Lory Thompson is our newest teacher, he has ministered here a Joshua for 5 years in other areas, ‘Cleansing Stream sessions, building with Pastor Dennis and others. He has also attended our ministry outreach in Window Rock AZ in the past two summers. He brings strength to our team.

These are the books of the Bible completed or in progress in the classroom:
1 Samuel, The Gospel of Matthew, and Teaching on the ‘Tabernacle’.
Our teaching concept is simple. Read the Bible and explain to the children what it means.
We rarely teach on topics. With the exception of the teaching we did just before Easter. That teaching was on the Blood of Jesus and the nailing of His body to the cross. During the reading of the Book of Exodus we read about the ‘Passover’ so we learned about the ultimate ‘Passover Lamb’.
The past two years I’ve been working with them on entering into true worship of Jesus. Some have actually felt the presence of the Lord while worshipping. The peacefulness of Jesus fills our classroom when they truly enter in.
I teach them a variety of music. The children have moved past the point of shyness and they have ministered for our church service. Our next appointed time to serve will be on Mother’s Day May 10, 2009.
Some days, we let the children ask any questions they want. So far I’ve noticed they are mostly interested in “The End Times”.
