Before time began, God sent a vision of things to come for Gallup, NM and the surrounding area that would set captives free from darkness.
Dennis married Corrine Martinez on Nov. 29, 1980 and they gave birth to their one and only daughter Jessica in 1986. When Corrine was three months pregnant, she met her Savior Jesus Christ and was filled with the holy spirit and devoted herself to following God. As a result of this, Dennis committed his life fully to God as well.
More than 15 years ago after sitting under the ministry of 2 mighty men who had seen God's vision for Gallup and passed the mantle to young Dennis Gallegos, who ran with the vision, filled with love for serving God.
This is how the Joshua Generation for Jesus was founded.
Taking what they have been blessed with, both pastors combine their God-given talents and skill to teach the people who Jesus is and how to be closer to him.
The Joshua Generation for Jesus is a loving, supportative congregation who is both spiritual family and friends. Let us thank God for making such a radiant family!

How Our Church Started
The church formed in May 1990-1991 as non-denominational.
Started in a cool basement of a home, a few Christians began a Friday night prayer group. As the prayer group grew larger and because of God's power this prayer night grew and we had to re-locate to Pinon Plaza on Boardman. We had blue curtains in the windows, so naturally, we were called the "Blue Curtain Place."
We stayed there for 2 years. Then, we faced more growth and we located to the Mercardo Plaza on Highway 666 North. Then, once again, we grew and moved to a new location in a building which used to be a bar! God's ways are higher than ours! This was on Maloney and became the "Children's Church."
Now, we sit on a hill on Elva Drive. The church built is 100' x 100' x 40' and has been completely paid off, thank Our Awesome God!
The upper story is the Children's Church and also has some bedding material for those traveling ministries that need to rest. While the bottom floor is the auditorium and where the adult teaching goes on, as well as all performances like drama skits, concerts and speakers.
